It was my honour to attend Anzac Day services at Helensvale, Runaway Bay, and Paradise point this year. The strong community turnout and touching tributes organised by the RSL’s and community groups were inspiring.

I was proud to see our local students’ involvement in hosting their own special services, participating in ceremonies and marches, and paying respect for our beloved Anzacs.

It is wonderful to see the legacy of respect for those who valiantly served our nation on the battlefield is not just preserved but passionately passed down to the forthcoming generations in our local schools.

The tradition of Anzac Day ensures that the sacrifices made by our Anzacs are not forgotten but cherished and honoured with the utmost reverence.
