Federal Member for Fadden, Cameron Caldwell MP, has proudly announced that nine community groups across the northern Gold Coast have been successful in receiving funding under Round 9 of the Stronger Communities Programme, with grants totalling $110,000.
Mr Caldwell said the grants would support a wide range of local initiatives that strengthen community connection, improve local facilities and support the incredible work of our volunteers and service organisations.
“Our electorate is built on the spirit of community, and these organisations embody that in everything they do,” Mr Caldwell said.
“I’m proud to support these groups in their efforts to enhance the lives of local residents—from sporting and school groups, to essential services like Meals on Wheels and veterans’ support.”
The successful recipients in Round 9 of the programme are:
- Fibromyagia ME/CFS Gold Coast Support Group Inc
- AEIOU Foundation
- Coomera State School P&C Association
- Guides Queensland
- Paradise Point & Districts Meals on Wheels Inc
- Biggera Waters State School P&C Association
- Gold Coast Hockey Association Inc
- Returned & Services League of Australia (Queensland Branch) North Gold Coast Sub Branch Inc
“These grants will help deliver everything from upgraded community facilities and school equipment to programs supporting people with disabilities and chronic illness,” Mr Caldwell said.
“I believe in backing those who make our communities stronger—and I’ll continue to advocate for funding that supports local families, our volunteers, and those doing the hard work on the ground.”
The Stronger Communities Programme provides up to $20,000 in matched funding for small capital projects that deliver social benefits and improve community participation.
